Pediatric Dental Centers is joining the relief efforts following the devastating earthquake in Colombia, collecting essential supplies to support families and communities affected by the emergency.
On August 10, 2026, a powerful 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck western Colombia, causing severe damage across several regions, including Cali, Pereira, Manizales, Quibdó and surrounding communities. The emergency has displaced thousands of families and created an urgent need for food, hygiene products, shelter supplies and other essential items.
En Pediatric Dental Centers, caring for families has always extended beyond healthy smiles. In moments when communities need support the most, we believe that coming together can make a meaningful difference.
That is why our team has launched Together for Colombia, a donation drive in Bogotá to collect essential supplies for families affected by the earthquake.

Since announcing the initiative, donations have already started arriving at our collection point.
From food and hygiene products to other essential supplies, every contribution represents a family, team member or community member choosing to help someone facing an incredibly difficult moment.

What Can You Donate?
To make sure every contribution can be safely and effectively distributed, we are following recommendations published by Bogotá’s official emergency response channels.

- Baby and adult diapers

Basic and Emergency Supplies
- Bottled drinking water

These types of donations have been specifically identified as useful for supporting families and emergency response efforts in affected areas.
What Should You Avoid Donating?
Good intentions matter, but donating the right items is equally important.
Official guidance recommends not donating perishable or opened food, damaged bottled water, opened or soon-to-expire medication, or used underwear. Used clothing may also create logistical and sanitary challenges, so new items are preferred when clothing is donated.
Making thoughtful donations helps volunteers and relief organizations spend less time sorting unusable items and more time getting essential supplies to families who need them.

We welcome donations of non-perishable food, hygiene products and other essential supplies included in the recommended relief categories.
Bogotá and Colombia Continue to Mobilize
Across Bogotá, citizens, volunteers, organizations and local authorities have joined the humanitarian response.
Official collection centers have been receiving water, non-perishable food, hygiene kits, blankets, mattresses and other requested supplies, with aid already being prepared and transported to affected areas including Chocó and other communities impacted by the earthquake.
Pediatric Dental Centers is proud to contribute to that collective effort.
